np: JT - what goes around comes around
love this song.
aiyoh i think my life has no meaning now that exams are over. no school, no football, nothing to do la... i just sit at home, eat, watch shows online, talk to friends, go out with friends, shop, see my sis, and count the days til i go home. haha. i will NOT be able to get back into the swing of studying once second sem starts.
oh ya update about the gunman, he turned himself in, the 2 injured ppl are still in hospital, and a trust fund of 250000 bucks has been set up by the govt for the dead man's kids. God bless him, he was really brave. and his kids are so adorable.
went over to HK's place where he and the sis cooked chicken curry. it was quite nice. bloody cold cos he was saving electricity. in the end we decided to go watch ocean's 13. it was pretty nice. but ocean's 11 is still the ultimate la...12 was shit and 13 was somewhere in between.
went to DFO twice in the last week..yeah all the way to essondon. twice... once on tues with the sis and HK where i bought very pretty boots, jeans and a jacket. plus 3 tops and a pair of flip flops. then on thurs, went with val and melissa again, but dint buy anything cos...there was nothing else to buy and i felt a bit guilty about spending all my money on tuesday.
thursday night was end of exams party, so melissa, val and i went and met up with melissa's friend liz a few hours later. i had quite alot of fun. it was nice to let loose after 1 semester la. finally went home at FOUR in the morning,slightly tipsy but not absolutely drunk(that'll never happen...im not that stupid) and my feet were killing me. my boots are pretty, but they're not the most comfy..YET!they need to be broken in.
friday was my relaxing day. met the sis and HK to eat at Koko Black. oh.my.god................its heaven seriously. the chocolate mousse was just...i cant describe la, it was too good. my sis had something called the chocolate affogato, if i remember rightly, which is vanilla ice cream and a small pitcher of hot chocolate...then you pour the hot chocolate over the ice cream and eat...wah lao it was damn good. so was HK's hot chocolate plus the choco ice cream we ordered. it was ALL GOOD LA! i wanna work there...or better still just live inside the kitchen. now i have koko black and brunetti's...and navleen has tim horton's...where the choco danish is apparently..sex. HAHAHA. cant wait to see you darling!!
i've booked my airport shuttle for monday. i've made a list of all the things i need to pack and do. i hope my sis has checked us in and gotten us seats next to each other. i dont want another hair-raising episode like the one before we went to new york. hahahaha.
ok i have to CLEAR MY FRIDGE!!! still have a bit of jam, about 5 slices of bread and 2 eggs. actually i dont think thats enough to last me til monday morning, but worst come to worst i'll walk up to subway and buy smth. i love kfc, and its so nearby but its kinda ex...and i really dont need to get any fatter. hahaha.
i need to walk to safeway and get tim tams for the girlies. i dunno what flavour they want so maybe i'll get one of each. if they dont like then...well...more for me i guess!
going to melissa's house tmr to get friday night lights! and thursday's photos. YAY! must remember to bring thumb drive...ok actually if i forget its not a big deal..i live like, across the road. hahaha. ok i'm off to try and start packing. 3 dayssssssssssssssssssssss! mee pok here i come!

np: Coldplay - warning sign
ok i'm going to research which universities are located in Darwin. why? cos its 21 degrees there and 10 degrees in melbourne. my electricity bill was thru the roof this month cos my heater is always turned on. i nearly cried when i got my bill in the mail.
its so cold. i cant wait to go home, partly because i cant wait to feel the sun shine on me again. that and the fact that i really miss mee pok. and my friends.
the sister has finally finished exams. so we are hanging out, eating messy sandwiches, buying boots, and huddling on couches in winter jackets. good life no?
real madrid won la liga. yay for beckham. now that he, zidane, figo, ronaldo and roberto carlos have all left Real...i dont give a rat's ass about them anymore. i will be a full fledged valencia lover from now on.
apologies to my friends. my msn has been really screwed up this past week, so i havent been able to talk to ANYONE!!! either that, or i say hello, and then MSN signs me out. bitch. nav's back from europe, sam's going off to south africa soon...i want to talk to them but i cantttttttt...
there's a gunman on the loose in melbourne. he shot 3 people, killing one, on monday morning, not too far from my place. now there's a massive manhunt going on to find the guy. a bit scary man...there's a simple solution, but nobody wants to take it. outlaw guns. simple.
my feet are really white now. i cant wait to wear flip flops and feel breeze on my toes again. i miss my slipper tan.

EXAMS ARE OVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
today was val's bday and we were blessed with great weather...not that cold and no rain whatsoever. spent the afternoon at the botanic gardens eating, laughing, singing, looking at swans. all in all a great day and val WAS surprised so yay!!! got a great video of her doing a rendition of coldplay's green eyes...and when i'm not feeling so lazy i'll upload it.becky's bro made an AMAZING, STUPENDOUS, WONDEROUS chocolate and raspberry cake for us.oh my God it was heaven on my tongue.
epl fixtures are out. the season starts on aug11 against reading and ends on may11 2008 against wigan. sept 1st we play sunderland away. sept22 against chelski at OT, Arsenal in london on Nov3, liverpool on dec15 at anfield, sunderland at OT on dec26. I CANNOT WAIT for that. roy keane's return YAY!!! liverpool at OT on mar22, arsenal at OT on apr12 and chelsea at the bridge on apr26. tricky starting and ending periods, but hopefully we can win the title again. also, hopefully, i'll have moved into a proper apartment with cable tv by then and i wont have to rely on lauyapok streams that always break down.
rafael nadal won the french open. amazing match, which i managed to catch online...had a pretty good stream. nadal=awesome. thats all i can say. he doesnt serve fast, only at abt 150-160 kmh on average, but cos he's a lefty, the ball spins and is totally unpredictable. he had 25 unforced errors compared to 55 by federer, who looked quite out of it. but who cares. 3 french opens in a row for the 21 year old who has made 10million bucks in his career. hopefully he can give federer a run for his money in wimbledon, tho i think fed is still the king of grass, but we shall see. end of june baby!!! its coming and the best part...i'll be in singapore at the time and can watch ALL the action on ESPN...God i miss cable tv.
i spent the last 2 days reading The Virgin Suicides. i remember the movie vaguely, but the book is pretty good in my opinion. i actually held my own wrists when i read about how one of the girls slit hers in the tub. *shudder*
gonna start my harry potter marathon soon. this is when i re-read all the potter books in anticipation for the release of a new book. gotta finish by the time i go home, cos i dun wanna lug the heavy book on the plane. 6 books in ten days. can i do it? yes i can.
the sister's having exams. am waiting impatiently for her to finish so we can hang out. i think she'll do well..she studied really hard, unless she was lying all those times she said she was studying when i tried to talk to her online. hahaha.
omg i just ate 20 tim tams in 2 days. i ought to be shot. nvm, i think i burned some calories when i walked from home to the botanic gardens, AROUND THE WHOLE GARDENS and back home again. that should be quite a few calories right? RIGHT??? ok dont answer that.
am off to watch lost now. i dunno why i still watch, but like melissa said, its like...started watching, so just watch la... i think the writers have no clue where they're going with this show, and neither do i, but what the hell...not like i have anything else to do.

ok took some time off tonight to fiddle with my blog layout. and found a new one. i think it looks quite cute. if you hate it, dont tell me.
spent 7 bloody hours in the library today listening to earth science lectures on my ipod. my ears are so sore now and i can barely stay awake. but i still have 2 lectures to go. tmr i'm gonna just read all my summaries and look over past exam papers. i hope i do well.
aaaaah in 37.5 hours this will all be over!
tmr is a public holiday so the school library wont be open for as long as it usually is.bummer. usually its 3am but tmr its 5pm. just cos its some holiday known as the queen's bday. i dunno which queen. im thinking Elizabeth II but who knows. these australians are very funny. they want to be known as a separate entity with their own govt and national anthem and to be apart from the commonwealth then they still go celebrate stupid things like this. a bit rubbish right?
on my way out of school, i saw aruj(sister's bf's roommate) walking in. as it is it was so dark, then he was wearing a sweatshirt with the hood up on his head so i couldnt see his face at all. i saw him from far away and was thinking...'ok that is aruj, but i'm not 100% sure, so i shouldnt just like scream HI!!! and then its the wrong person'....so i looked at him, he looked at me, i looked at him...then he waved at me...and i was like...ok its really him. aiyoh, i know its not funny, but it just felt so dumb la. i hate winter. i cant see anything after 6pm.
french open men's final on now!!! nadal vs federer. justine henin won the women's trophy yesterday yay yay yay. hope nadal beats federer. men's tennis is just not fun anymore, now that ferderer just steamrolls past everyone on his way to the title. i will never forget how he completely humiliated andy roddick at the Aus Open. ok whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy cant i get a stream???
oh by the way, saw a guy that looks EXACTLY like nadal in the school library. i was really shocked. i thought my contacts were misbehaving again and screwing up my vision.
i think the staff at Subway near my school know me now. they smile and say hi when i go in...which is erm....almost everyday. what to do, there's no food in my house and their daily subs are 3.50...might as well right?
there's been thefts and vandalism in my building. and somebody spit in the lift. WTF! ppl 18, 19 years old already still doing this. |

np: beauty and the beast
i have my first exam in 36.5 hours, the next 9 days will decide my life and its freezing cold. don't judge me for listening to comforting songs from old disney classics, cos that's what ive been doing on and off for the past 3 days.
have been trying to study as much as possible in the last 4 or 5 days. spending 5/6 hours at a time in various libraries mugging my brains out. caffeine, water and sandwiches have been instrumental in keeping me alive. along with the thought that in 9 days it will all be over, and in 21 days i will be back home. my plan for winter break?
1)cut hair and maybe highlight? i'm thinking red highlights for some strange reason
2)see all my friends...again and again and again
3)EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT...all the unhealthy hawker food and my mum's cooking
4)go running or at least find some way to exercise
5)get a tan
6)go back to TJ to collect my A level cert and SGC and choir merit award
7)go back to cedar for fun
8)find some deals at great singapore sale
9)pack up my room
10)see my cousins
went to max brenner's for the first time last night with the sister and HK. niiiiiiiiice. chocolate is always appreciated by me. i had the venezuelan milk chocolate drink and half a waffle with strawberries.joy.
met jema at the state library to study today. it was study study study reminisce study study study gossip study study study. apparently there's a p10 trip to malaysia i dont know about? hello why is everyone going malaysia without me?!?!
i realise i have a lot of coffee loyalty cards to use up. 6 more before i get a free drink at gloria jean's...4 more at the school juice bar and 6 more at castro's...ok screw castro's im not going there anymore, its ex and not that great. i think i will finish the juice bar one by the time exams are over.and maybe i'll try to cheat and get my card stamped at the gloria jean's in singapore...i wonder if starbucks has a loyalty card cos their cappuccino rules.
was hoping that some of my friends would be having orientation around the time i'm back home..then i can go and crash and see what a local uni orientation is like. but it's all on the 6th and 7th, which incidentally, is NOT national day (inside joke :D). yup, so i'll be back in aussie by then, too early for singapore orientations, and too late for aussie ones. but just in time for HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS!!! GAH 48 DAYS LEFT!!! ooh and i get a free owl too...does anyone want it? i'm not much of a soft toy person other than my bears from bloomingdale's and cedar.
anita's leaving singapore on 5th july.....so earlyyyyyy and sandz prob going sometime b/w 10th and 13th...which should be around grace's departure time too. and SAMYU!!! has betrayed me and is going to south africa the day i come back...HELLO FRIEND PRIORITIES AH!!!! ok kidding. dont be fraternising with murderous looking boys please (more inside jokes!!)
now for the obligatory football news. man united has signed 2 of the game's most promising youngsters and have also finally FINALLY landed owen hargreaves. david beckham has returned to the england squad and was SUPERB against brazil, which is more than i can say for fat frank lampard and john-least-charismatic-captain-EVER-Terry. oh and ryan giggs played his last ever game for wales. SAD!
oh oh funny story. yesterday the sister and i were in UniMelb library and SOMEONE FARTED....those really potent, silent-killer type of farts that are so smelly that your nose hair just kinda fries and dies. wah lao eh it was damn damn bad man!! i ate a mint to get the smell out of my nose and my sister practically shoved her whole head in my box of mints to escape the stench. and the 2 of us plus the girl next to us couldnt stop laughing. i couldnt tell if my eyes were watering from the smell or from the laughter. it was like something died in somebody's butt or smth. unbelievable.
navleen is on holiday.again.in london.and majorca. bring me back a latin lovah..and sangria...if you cant, richard will do just as nicely as well. i miss you jetsetter!!!
ok i'm off to watch garden state, which is like, one of the coolest movies (with one of the coolest soundtracks) i've ever seen. christabel i know you're jealous. but then again, you probably have it on DVD.
